[If you don’t find your city, click the first city choice “AAAll HS in CFO’s service area.” Any student in SW MO can apply for these scholarships, providing they meet criteria.]

March 10, 2017 is the deadline for all Scholarships that can be applied for directly ONLINE. It is also the deadline for many of the scholarships with PDFs that can be downloaded from the website. Please double-check – deadlines may vary!
Missouri Special Needs Association (MSNA) Scholarship
Deadline: All applications need to be in the scholarship committee chairperson's hands by Tuesday, May 23, 2017
The Missouri Special Needs Association (MSNA) is offering a student financial award to acknowledge the achievement of a career/technical student who is a member of a special population and has overcome barriers to achieve his/her highest potential for success.
This award is to assist the student with tuition, lodging, book expenses, or tools that will assist this student in obtaining their educational/work goal. This financial award will be sent to the College Registrar listed below. This award will then be available for the student’s use. However, if the student is going to use the financial award for tools, then the award will be sent to the nominating person.

Aspiring Business Professional Scholarship
This is a $1,000 scholarship that will be awarded to students that are interested in pursuing a business degree at any accredited post-secondary school or college. Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program
Abbott & Fenner Business Consultants are pleased to be able to continue with our scholarship program for the 10th year.
We will be awarding up to $1,000 to the winner(s) each year.

BigSun Scholarship

Amount: $500.00
The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. We are offering an annual
scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in.
Their participation may be in any capacity, whether as a player, coach or official.

Aspiring Animation Professional Scholarship Program
This is the 5th year we are awarding this scholarship for AnimationCareerReview.com. We are offering high school seniors the opportunity to win a $1,000 scholarship. Nursing Schools Almanac - Third annual Aspiring Nurse Scholarship
Amount: $1,000 scholarship
Eligibility: Awarded to an aspiring nurse who best demonstrates
*A track record of academic excellence, particularly in science and mathematics
*A passion for the nursing profession and the overall field of healthcare
This scholarship is open to all high school seniors who plan to pursue college education in nursing, including LPN / LVN, ADN, and BSN programs. Scholarship applications will be accepted until midnight on June 30, 2017.

- “The scholarship will cost you some money.”
- “You’ve been selected by a national foundation to receive a scholarship,” or “You’re a finalist” in a contest you never entered.

- Be involved in community service activities throughout high school. There are generally a number of community scholarships available
- Create and maintain a success resume from freshman year through your senior year in high school. Capturing you accomplishments on an annual basis will help you prepare for scholarship applications and build your personal brand.
- Consult with your high school guidance counselor, especially for local and regional scholarship information. Some high schools may even assign a guidance counselor as a scholarship coordinator.
- When writing a scholarship essay, make sure you write it in your own voice. Also, make sure you use spell check and have someone else proofread your essay.
- Start applying for scholarships in the fall of your senior year of high school. You will want to take advantage of scholarship with early application deadline dates.
- Scholarship deadlines can vary. Develop a scholarship deadline spreadsheet to keep you organized and on time.
- Be mindful of the details! Carefully read the instructions and make sure your application is filled out correctly and you have included requested items. Some scholarships will request financial information to determine a candidate’s need.
- Apply and keep applying. You can save time by tailoring an existing essay for multiple scholarship applications.
